Remedy Distillery Opening Soon in Flowery Branch
Founded in Gainesville, the brand is moving south to Flowery Branch.
Owner Keith Speed is preparing to debut Remedy Distillery in a new location, he shared with Business Debut. The brand was started in Gainesville six years ago and is now relocating further south to Flowery Branch, with plans to open in the coming weeks.

The new facility will feature two main guest areas. Inside will be a 1,400-square-foot tasting room with a custom bar, ample seating, and a television for sports and entertainment. The family-friendly environment encourages guests to stay as long as they like while enjoying cocktails and tasting flights. First-time visitors will receive complimentary samples of the spirits.

Outside, guests will find a relaxed common area with an additional TV and games like bocce ball and corn hole. Pets are welcome in both areas as long as they remain leashed.
While distilling is handled offsite, the aging, proofing, and bottling will take place at the new Flowery Branch location. Food from nearby restaurants is encouraged and can be brought in to enjoy alongside drinks.
Remedy Distillery currently offers five distinct products:
- A 90-proof single-barrel bourbon
- A 70-proof apple-flavored whiskey
- A 70-proof cinnamon-flavored whiskey called Red Remedy
- An 80-proof peach whiskey
- A 70-proof blackberry whiskey that often sells out
Already distributed throughout Georgia, the brand is aiming for national expansion. Georgia residents can also order online for in-state delivery via remedywhiskey.com.
Speed shared that the name “Remedy” nods to Prohibition-era history. During that time, the only legal way to obtain alcohol was through a prescription for medicinal whiskey—up to three pints per month per individual. Adjusted for inflation, Speed noted, the cost of a doctor’s visit and one pint of whiskey could reach about $100.
