AHOSKIE, NC – Quinton's Restaurant and Lounge will have a comeback under new ownership. The longtime community staple, which opened more than 20 years ago, is being restored by local restaurateur Leroy Douglas at 116 East Main Street, Ahoskie, NC 27910.

“I bought it when COVID hit,” Douglas told Business Debut. “I’ve just been working on it all the while until I got it the way I wanted it.”

Quinton's Restaurant and Lounge is going to start operating again in the next 30 days. It will be open from Thursday to Sunday.

The new Quinton's will still serve Southern-style food and popular bar dishes. The menu includes fried chicken, baked chicken, ham, catfish, and fresh vegetables. The menu will also feature brunch items and comfort foods, including wings, mozzarella sticks, and burgers.

“It’s going to look very similar,” Douglas said. “It’s newish, but the structure is really about the same. Just a little updated.”

Keeping Tradition Alive

Keeping Quinton’s legacy was a crucial decision for Douglas. Rather than starting a new restaurant, he chose to keep the restaurant’s original name and concept alive.

“Trying to keep it along the same concept he had,” Douglas explained. “That’s why I kept the name the same. That’s why I bought the business instead of just starting over.”
