BUFORD, GA — Porterhouse Grill is preparing to open a new restaurant at 3217 Buford Dr, Buford, GA 30519, directly in front of Macy’s at the Mall of Georgia. Ownership told Business Debut the restaurant is targeting an opening around April 15th, pending final licensing approvals.

The Buford restaurant will mark the brand’s third location, joining existing Porterhouse Grill restaurants in Athens and Brookhaven.

What to Expect

The restaurant will occupy the former O’Charley’s building near the Mall of Georgia and will span approximately 7,500 square feet. The space will seat about 300 guests, making it the largest Porterhouse Grill location to date.

Ownership said the restaurant is designed to offer a refined yet welcoming environment suitable for business dinners, celebrations, date nights, and family gatherings. The location aims to serve both local residents and visitors to the Mall of Georgia seeking a full-service steakhouse experience.

Porterhouse Grill is known for its steakhouse menu centered around premium beef, including USDA prime cuts and Angus Prime steaks. Guests can also expect fresh seafood, classic steakhouse dishes, handcrafted cocktails, and an extensive wine selection.

Renovations at the Buford property have already been completed, and the team is currently waiting on final licensing approvals from Gwinnett County.

Hours are expected to mirror the Athens location, with lunch served daily and dinner service typically running until about 9 p.m. on weekdays and later on weekends.
