SURF CITY, NC — Siren’s Sandlot, a pirate-ship-themed bar from owner April Sessums, will hold its grand opening March 15th at 121 North Shore Drive, Surf City, NC 28445.

Sessums told Business Debut the business is already operating in a soft opening phase, with a karaoke night planned ahead of the grand opening to help locals learn the bar is open.

What to Expect

Sessums said the interior is designed to make guests feel like they are inside a sunken pirate ship, with themed decor throughout the space.

Behind the building, Siren’s Sandlot has two lots filled with sand, creating an outdoor “sandlot” area where guests can watch entertainment from a stage.

Siren’s Sandlot is a full-service bar offering beer, liquor and wine, Sessums told Business Debut.

Food service will come via a resident food truck on-site. The Mac Shack, operated by Rashauana Pollock, will be serving homemade mac and cheese to the bargoers.

Opening Timeline

The grand opening is set for March 15th, with festivities beginning at 12 p.m.

Hours

Sessums told Business Debut the bar plans to operate from 12 p.m. — 2 a.m., except Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when hours are planned for 2 p.m. — 11 p.m.
