BOYNTON BEACH, FL — Pinecrest Bakery is expanding north once again, with a new location planned for 9929 S Military Trl, Boynton Beach, FL 33436.

Owner Efrain Valdes Jr. told Business Debut the store is targeting an opening in the second to third quarter of 2026. The space, formerly a Boston Market, will join the brand’s network of about 35 corporate and franchised bakery locations across South Florida.

What to Expect

The Boynton Beach bakery will span about 3,000 square feet with 20 to 30 indoor seats. Guests can expect Pinecrest Bakery’s signature 24-hour, seven-day-a-week service featuring Cuban American baked goods, pastries, sandwiches, and coffee. The concept will remain fast casual with grab-and-go service alongside dine-in seating.

Valdes described the bakery as “a traditional bakery brought into modern times,” serving an average of 65,000 customers across South Florida each week.

The menu will feature more than 27 sandwiches and a full lineup of pastries, including customer favorites such as croquetas, pastelitos, and café con leche. “Seventy-five percent of our sales come from pastries like guava, cheese, and coconut,” Valdes told Business Debut. “It’s a place that becomes part of the community—people come in daily, and we know them by name.”

Pinecrest Bakery’s commissary in South Florida supplies each location, ensuring consistency across its network. “You’ll get the same delicious guava pastry in Boynton Beach that you get in Key Largo,” Valdes said. He emphasized that quality and personalized service drive the company’s growth.

Community and Mission

Valdes said the company’s culture centers on community engagement, including programs such as Coffee with a Cop and Cookies with Rookies that bring local officers and residents together. The brand also supports Bounce Back from Cancer, a cause close to Valdes, who is a cancer survivor himself. “Giving back is something true to my heart,” he told Business Debut.

Pinecrest Bakery also partners with Meals on Wheels, providing food for those in need. Valdes said the company helps feed about 400 homeless individuals in South Florida each day, reflecting the bakery’s ongoing commitment to “paying it forward” and strengthening its connection to the communities it serves.
