Pie Guys Bringing Italian Comfort Food to Cooper City
Projected to open this September, Pie Guys will offer classic recipes and modern twists in Cooper City.

Pie Guys, a family-owned pizzeria, is set to bring an old school meets new school vibe to Cooper City later this year. The casual eatery will take over the former Angry Warthog space at 5109 SW 90th Ave, Cooper City, FL 33328, with a planned opening in September, pending final buildout and permitting. “We're really hoping for September,” co-owner CJ Pietroforte told Business Debut. “Of course, that depends on how quickly we can finish renovations, paint, do the new bathrooms, expand the kitchen, and the like.”
The concept blends Pietroforte’s multi-generational family recipes with a modern, approachable twist. “You can get the spaghetti and meatballs, or you can get something totally different, all in the same environment,” he said. The interior will maintain the bar layout from the previous tenant but expand the kitchen significantly to support a broader menu.
Pie Guys will accommodate up to 50 diners and feature a bar area with beer, wine, and several TVs tuned to sports. The team aims to create a cozy and flexible environment. “You could take your wife out on a date here, and you could bring the kids on another night,” Pietroforte added. “Everybody can feel comfortable.”
While the specific menu is still being finalized, customers can expect classic Italian-American and modern twists as well.
Pietroforte's devotion to hospitality led to the start of The Pie Guys as his family has been it the restaurant business for many years. Also involved in the project is co-owner Gregory Harriman. Pietroforte will be managing operations.
