Peezy’s Snack Bar Opening January 3 In Jacksonville
Peezy’s Snack Bar will open in Jacksonville as a walk-up concept serving boiled peanuts and novelty snacks.
JACKSONVILLE, FL — Peezy’s Snack Bar is preparing to open at 1463 Kings Road, Jacksonville, FL 32209 with a grand opening planned for January 3, owner Jerome Bolden told Business Debut.
The new walk-up snack bar marks Bolden’s first brick-and-mortar restaurant after several years operating under the Peezy Peanuts name.
What to Expect
Peezy’s Snack Bar is designed as a counter-service, walk-up concept focused on quick, novelty-style food. Orders will be placed at an outdoor window, with no indoor dining. Guests will be able to eat at picnic tables set up across the large outdoor lot, which Bolden said will seat about 30 people.
The concept is intentionally casual, offering fast snacks rather than a traditional sit-down restaurant experience.
Menu and Vision
The menu builds on what first made Bolden known in the community: boiled peanuts. Peezy’s Snack Bar will serve its signature Peezy peanuts in multiple flavors, including Cajun, jerk, crab-style, and classic seasoned peanuts. Bolden said the peanuts are what started the business and remain its foundation.
“My favorite item is what we started out with three years ago, which is boiled peanuts,” Bolden told Business Debut. “We do something different with them so people know exactly who Peezy is.”
Beyond peanuts, the expanded menu includes all-beef hot dogs, sausage dogs, red hots, corn dogs, loaded nachos, chicken strips, and deep-fried turkey legs. Snack and dessert items will include cotton candy, popcorn, ice cream, frozen ice treats known locally as Honey Dripples, chocolate-covered peanuts, and Peezy peanut griddles.
Bolden said the goal is to offer items that are hard to find elsewhere. “I didn’t want to reinvent the wheel, but I wanted to do something different that nobody else was doing,” he told Business Debut.
Ownership Story
Bolden launched his business in 2022, initially selling boiled peanuts from a tent before moving into a food truck. Over time, he introduced unconventional ingredients like corn, potatoes, oxtails, and seafood to set his peanuts apart. After three years, he decided to sell the food truck to invest in land and transition into a permanent location.
The name “Peezy” comes from Bolden’s childhood nickname, which he chose to keep during the rebrand to Peezy’s Snack Bar so longtime customers would still recognize him.

Opening Timeline
The grand opening is scheduled for January 3, with a public celebration beginning at 12 p.m. The event will include free hot dogs, free lemonade, and music from a live DJ. Bolden described the event as a soft opening-style celebration for the community.
Hours
Peezy’s Snack Bar plans to operate daily from 10 a.m. — 10 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, hours are expected to extend until about 2 a.m.
