Paradise Restaurant and Lounge Opening Soon in Orange Park

ORANGE PARK, FL — Paradise Restaurant & Lounge is targeting a late April to early May opening at 550 Wells Rd Ste 1, Orange Park, FL 32073, owner Pedro Parks told Business Debut.
What to Expect
The concept centers on delivering an experience-driven environment with a focus on ambiance, food, and hospitality. Parks said the goal is to offer something different for the Orange Park and greater Jacksonville area.
“The concept is to give off a very nice looking ambiance…we just wanted to give people experiences that they haven't experienced here locally,” Parks told Business Debut.
The space will operate as a full-service restaurant with approximately 140 seats, alongside a full liquor bar offering cocktails and specialty drinks.
Menu and Vision
The menu will focus on simplified but consistent offerings, with an emphasis on pasta dishes, char-grilled oysters, flatbreads, and brunch service.
Parks said he aims to stand out with pasta selections using linguine or scampi-style noodles paired with proteins like shrimp, chicken, salmon, or lobster.
“I want to specialize in my pastas…a simplified menu but yet a good tasting food menu,” Parks told Business Debut.
Additional offerings will include pork chop entrées, bar staples like wings and fries, and a weekend brunch program designed to meet local demand.
Parks emphasized the broader mission behind the concept. “This is not a business that's being created to get rich…it's a business that was created to have a place for people to come and hang out and escape the reality of what's going on in their lives,” he told Business Debut.
Parks also shared appreciation for those who helped shape his path in hospitality. “I would just love to give thanks to the Daqshack family for embracing me in all these years and just basically teaching me everything that I know about the business,” Parks told Business Debut.
Opening Timeline
The team is targeting a late April or early May opening as final preparations and inspections are completed.
Hours
Paradise Restaurant & Lounge plans to operate Wednesday through Sunday.
- Wednesday and Thursday: 4 p.m. — 12 a.m.
- Friday: 4 p.m. — 1 a.m.
- Saturday: 12 p.m. — 4 p.m. (brunch), 5 p.m. — 1 a.m. (dinner)
- Sunday: 12 p.m. — 4 p.m. (brunch), 5 p.m. — 10 p.m. (dinner)
The restaurant will be closed Monday and Tuesday, with plans to expand to additional days over time.
