CONYERS, GA – The Pour House is in development at 870 North Main St NW, Conyers, GA 30012, where owners Rachel and Brad Smith are converting the former Olde Town Awards building into a coffee-focused concept.

Smith said the idea for The Pour House grew from a gap in Olde Town Conyers, where a previous coffee shop closed several years ago and area residents have asked for a local option.

The existing engraving business will continue on a remote basis while the front-of-house space transitions into the new coffee shop, Smith told Business Debut.

What to Expect

The Pour House will occupy just under 900 square feet, according to Smith.

Smith described the planned interior as dark and moody with French and broader European influences. Seating will be arranged in groups to encourage conversation.

Flooring will feature detailed tile work, with walls painted in darker tones and a mix of velvet and wood seating, Smith said. Another motif will be a vintage cabinet from a former bakery in Belgium will anchor the coffee bar.

The primary focus will be coffee and tea, Smith told Business Debut.

Smith said the team is working toward a selection of French pastries and has been in contact with Saint Germain’s Bakery in Atlanta as a potential supplier.

Beer and wine service is planned for evening hours on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Smith characterized the goal for the atmosphere as comfortable and living-room-style.

Opening Timeline

Smith said the team is targeting fall for opening. An exact opening date is to be announced.
