NYC's Barking Dog Opening in Raleigh This Month
A 34-year staple of NYC is coming south in a couple of weeks.

Barking Dog, the New York City restaurant known for its dog-friendliness, is bringing its pet friendly concept to Raleigh later this month. Owner Angelo Janku told Business Debut the North Hills location at 160 Park at N Hills St Suite 100, Raleigh, NC 27609. This will be the brand’s third restaurant following its two New York outposts, including its original Upper East Side location that opened in 1991.

What to Expect
Guests can look forward to a full-service restaurant and bar offering breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. The Raleigh space will seat about 80 to 90 guests inside, with another 40 on the patio.
The restaurant is designed to welcome the whole family—“and your furry friend,” as Janku described it. “While you enjoy your brunch and dinner delicacies, your pup can enjoy some good stuff next to you,” he told Business Debut.
Guests are encouraged to bring their well-trained dogs with them to dine and socialize with friends.
Menu and Vision
Chef George Acosta, who will be leading the Raleigh location's kitchen, told Business Debut that they will follow the menu served in New York, with tweaks tailored to local tastes in the Southeast.
Expect an upscale diner–pub lineup of elevated comfort dishes for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner.
