Nikkei Cuisine Coming to Charlotte via Panko Peruvian Fusion
Peruvian and Japanese culinary traditions will fuse together in Panko.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Panko, a Peruvian–Japanese fine-dining restaurant from owner Luis Soleno Alcala, is coming soon to 730 East 36th Street Unit C, Charlotte, NC 28205. Alcala told Business Debut the team is keeping the exact opening date under wraps for now. He is partnered with Efrain Aguirre on the venture.
What to Expect
Panko is focus on experiential, international dining, Alcala shared. Expect dishes, plates, and glasses that were hand-crafted in Peru. The restaurant itself is coming from a global team of designers and craftspeople.
The dining room will seat about 62 guests inside, with roughly 20 more on the patio, and the team plans a daily DJ.
Menu and Vision
Panko will integrate Peruvian flavors with Japanese influence in a fine-dining format. “My menu is a whole experience,” Alcala told Business Debut. He said the goal is to bring “a completely different concept” to Charlotte.
