New Vietnamese Street Food and Nightlife Concept to Open in Suwanee
La Ca Vietnamese Coffee House & Street Food will bring a new restaurant and nightlife concept to Suwanee this month.
SUWANEE, GA — La Ca Vietnamese Coffee House & Street Food is targeting a January soft opening at 3370 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd Suite 100, Suwanee, GA 30024, owner Quynh Truong told Business Debut. Truong said the team has been remodeling after taking over a former pizzeria space, including removing the old pizza oven and adding cooking equipment.
What to Expect
The café will be a partial-service concept: Guests will order and pay at the counter, then staff will bring food out to the table. Truong said the space is a little over 3,000 square feet, including the kitchen, with a “pretty spacious” dining room.
Menu and Vision
Truong said La Ca will focus on Vietnamese street food and everyday home-style dishes, rather than the standard pho-shop lineup. “I did not want to put out a typical sort of what you can find at other Vietnamese restaurants, like pho,” Truong told Business Debut.
Menu plans include clay pot dishes featuring braised meats such as pork belly, ribs and shrimp, typically served with rice family-style. Truong also expects to serve street-style items like skewers, along with seafood-forward options including grilled shrimp and a variety of snails. “I’m just sort of bringing a very traditional vibe to the area,” she told Business Debut.
Quynh Truong said La Ca Vietnamese Coffee House & Street Food is designed to bring “the nightlife that Vietnam is known for” to the area, with late hours as part of the experience. Truong said the concept includes open mic karaoke on the weekend, and she hopes to pursue a liquor license in the future.
Opening Timeline
Truong said the team is working through final construction and inspections, with a January soft opening in mind. She noted the process has moved slowly due to holiday closures and ongoing approvals.
Hours
La Ca plans to be open every day except Thursday. Truong said the team is aiming for later hours and hopes to stay open until midnight on weekends, depending on staffing. She also plans to add weekend open-mic karaoke and pursue a liquor license in the future.
