New Restaurant and Patio Bar Opening Soon In Charlotte
Laurel Park will open in Charlotte with New American dining, a large covered patio, and a full-service bar.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Laurel Park, a new restaurant and patio bar from owner Dan McCormick, is preparing to open soon at 4201 Congress St, Charlotte, NC 28209. Their space is in an office building with over 250,000 square feet of space hosting a mix of financial services, wealth management, and real estate tenants.
McCormick told Business Debut the team expects to open in the next couple of weeks, pending final inspections.
What to Expect
Laurel Park has been designed around its office-building setting, with a focus on business lunches, dinners, and weekend social occasions. McCormick said his approach is to “look at what’s missing in the neighborhood and what’s the most natural concept for the space,” he told Business Debut.
The covered patio is a main feature, totaling about 2,000 square feet with roughly 110 to 115 seats outside. A full island bar with about 20 seats anchors the patio, which has more seating than the dining room itself.

Menu and Vision
Laurel Park’s menu is described as New American, giving the team flexibility to offer both familiar dishes and more elevated, globally inspired plates. McCormick said the menu will span influences from Asian, Mediterranean, French, Italian, and Latin cuisines alongside classic “meat and potatoes” dishes, he told Business Debut.

Chef Cam LeTard will lead the kitchen. His background includes upscale, high-volume cooking with experience at Ritz-Carlton and Sixty Vines, along with formal training at the Culinary Institute of America. McCormick said LeTard brings “lots of finesse” to the menu.
Opening Timeline
After some delays, Laurel Park is now targeting an opening in the next couple of weeks, contingent on final inspections, he told Business Debut.
Hours
Laurel Park plans to open with dinner service only for approximately the first three weeks, starting with 5 p.m. reservations.
After the new year, the team expects to add lunch service around 11:30 a.m. and weekend brunch around 10:30 a.m. Exact days and full operating schedule are to be announced.
