New Nightlife Spot Opening in Hickory With Live Music, Pool, and a Mechanical Bull
Reverb Lounge plans to open in January.
HICKORY, NC — Reverb Lounge, owned by Bryan Hollifield, Philip Barlow and Christopher Byers, is preparing to open at 1246 US Hwy 70 SW, Hickory, NC 28602. Hollifield told Business Debut the team is targeting the second week of January for a grand opening.
What to Expect
Reverb Lounge is planned as a bar-forward music venue and lounge with standing room, bar seating, pool tables, and a mechanical bull. Hollifield said the space will also include custom lounge seating and a VIP lounge area.
The owners have spent the past year building out the space from what Hollifield described as a “blank canvas,” with the goal of creating something new for the community.
Menu and Vision
Reverb Lounge is not planning a kitchen. Instead, Hollifield told Business Debut the team expects to partner with rotating food trucks in the parking lot.
Programming will center on live music and events, including holiday-themed nights, and Hollifield said the team has also discussed hosting private events such as post-wedding celebrations.
Opening Timeline
Hollifield told Business Debut the team does not have a specific December opening date locked in. He said they are aiming for the second week of January for a grand opening.
Hours
Reverb Lounge is “kicking around” being open seven days a week, with afternoon hours planned. Hollifield said current hours discussions are around 4 p.m.—2 a.m., though hours are still being finalized.
For entertainment, Hollifield said the team is currently targeting Wednesday through Saturday for scheduled programming, which could include live music, karaoke or a DJ depending on the night.
