New Mexican Restaurant and Bar Coming to Inverness
Tequila Garden Flavor of Mexico is planning to open in Inverness in mid-February with traditional Mexican dishes and a full bar.
INVERNESS, FL — Tequila Garden Flavor of Mexico is preparing to open at 875 E Gulf to Lake Highway in Inverness, bringing a full-service Mexican restaurant and bar concept to the area. Owner Florencio Rodriguez told Business Debut the team is targeting the second week of February, aiming for a Valentine’s Day opening.
Menu and Vision
Tequila Garden Flavor of Mexico will highlight traditional Mexican cuisine, with a menu centered on familiar and well-loved dishes. “You can look for the traditional plates like fajitas, tacos, tamales, and enchiladas,” Rodriguez said, adding that the goal is to offer a variety of Mexican flavors and “bring the best Mexican dining to Inverness.”
Community Favorites
Rodriguez said community feedback has played a key role in shaping the menu, particularly when it comes to traditional dishes. “They’re asking for a lot of traditional dishes, so we’re preparing some traditional Mexican dishes for Inverness,” he said. The menu will include items such as menudo, pozole, and mole, which Rodriguez described as a traditional brown sauce made with many ingredients, added specifically in response to what the community has been requesting.
Brunch and Beverages
Rodriguez said the restaurant plans to expand its offerings beyond lunch and dinner with a Mexican brunch served on weekends. “We’re also going to have a good Mexican brunch every weekend,” he said. Tequila Garden Flavor of Mexico will include a full bar with liquor, and Rodriguez confirmed guests can expect handcrafted margaritas as part of the dining experience.
Space and Service
Tequila Garden Flavor of Mexico will operate as a full-service restaurant with wait staff. Rodriguez said the restaurant will span approximately 6,000 square feet and seat around 150 guests. “It’s going to have an outdoor patio and two other patios, one in the front and one in the back,” he said, noting that the layout was designed to give guests multiple dining options.
Background
Although this is his first restaurant as an owner, Rodriguez said his roots in the restaurant industry run deep. “I come from a restaurateur family, a third generation,” he said, explaining that his background and upbringing inspired him to open a new concept and bring different flavors to the Inverness community.
Hours and Location
Tequila Garden Flavor of Mexico plans to be open seven days a week. Hours will be Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
