New Independent Cafe Opening in Vero Beach

VERO BEACH, FL – A new cozy coffee destination is coming soon to West Vero. Sunny’s Cafe, managed by daughter-father duo Sunny and Lenny Siegel, is planned to open at 8718 20th St, Vero Beach, FL 32966. According to Sunny, who spoke with Business Debut, they expect to open in late March 2026.

What to Expect

Sunny’s Cafe, located in a small plaza in West Vero, aims to bring something new to an area where independent coffee shops are limited compared to downtown. “The people in the coffee community are really willing to help each other out so other businesses can succeed,” Sunny shared.

Seating will be available for up to 18 guests, including a cozy corner with a couch and lounge chairs. They also have Wi-Fi access and charging stations where guest can charge their phones or plug in if they need to. Once open, Sunny’s Cafe will operate Tuesday - Friday from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m., and 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. on weekends. The business will focus on counter service with dine in and take out options.

Food, Drinks, and Local Partners

The menu will feature specialties such as:

  • Breakfast and lunch favorites like bagels, croissants, breakfast sandwiches, salads, yogurt parfaits, fruit cups, and pastries.
  • Drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, teas, and lemonades

Establishing connections with local businesses is crucial in Sunny's Cafe. The owners want to obtain coffee beans from the local roaster, while the bakery and produce will be supplied by local vendors. "We want to support the local people and help them grow their business, while bringing that local taste too," said Sunny.

A Family-Owned Cafe with a Cozy Concept

Sunny's Cafe will be the father-daughter duo's first venture in the restaurant business together. They have a combined extensive industry experience. Lenny owned a family business back in 2000 and also worked in the produce industry his whole life. Sunny, on the other hand, has been working in cafes and bakeries on and off for about 10 years, so she has extensive industry experience with great mentors whom she draws inspiration from.

They intend to develop a café that will give customers the feeling of being at home, where they can relax and interact with others while enjoying fast, grab-and-go options and freshly prepared meals. “We want to create a place that people go into and feel really inspired by, feel really comfortable in, to connect with people, and also, get a good cup of coffee along the way,” Sunny shared.
