New in Merritt Island: Crossroads Jerk Center Opening in Merritt Square Mall

MERRITT ISLAND, FL — Crossroads Jerk Center, a Caribbean restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and a nightlife component, is in construction inside Merritt Square Mall at 777 E Merritt Island Cswy, Merritt Island, FL 32952, co-owner Lora Cross shared with Business Debut in a phone interview.
Cross and co-owner Dwight Fisher are targeting an opening in about a month as construction advances and painting wraps up.

What to Expect
Crossroads Jerk Center will offer lunch and dinner service with full-service dining, Cross said. The restaurant will span a little over 3,000 square feet.
Takeout will be available for mall shoppers and nearby workers who want to pick up food and go.
The concept also includes entertainment with jazz nights most evenings and a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays that will play into the morning. A bar program is planned, starting with beer and wine and expanding over time.
Crossroads Jerk Center will be Carribbean restaurant with an emphasis on Jamaican fare. Cross shared that the chef previously worked on a cruise ship and focuses on presentation and doing things a little different from standard preparations.
Opening Timeline
Cross said the restaurant is in the construction phase and they intend to open in a month or so. An exact opening date is to be announced.
