New in Hiram: Green Tomato Buffet Opening With Southern Favorites

HIRAM, GA – Green Tomato Buffet plans to open a new country buffet restaurant targeting November at 5157 Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway Suite 203 Hiram, GA 30141, owner Geng Lin told Business Debut in a recent phone interview.
Lin shared with Business Debut that the Hiram restaurant will be 6,500 square feet with seating for approximately 225 guests.
What to Expect
The Green Tomato Buffet concept is a home-cooking country buffet with scratch-made food.
The dining room will center on a buffet line with hot entrees, vegetables, starches, salad bar, fruit bar, dessert bars and ice cream.
Specific items include fried and baked chicken, ribs, meatloaf, country fried steak, barbecue pork and pork neck bones and much more.
Sides include macaroni, mashed potatoes and other starches. Lin told Business Debut guests can expect about two different meats at a time, roughly eight types of vegetables and around five starch options.
A full salad bar with multiple dressings and a separate fruit bar with seasonal fruit are planned.
For dessert, Lin said there will be two dessert bars. One cold bar will feature pies, cakes and banana pudding. A hot dessert bar will offer items such as apple pie, cinnamon rolls, various cookies and bread pudding.
Lin added that the restaurant will also offer all-you-can-eat ice cream cups in different flavors along with popsicles.
Ownership Background
Lin operates the Green Tomato Buffet brand in multiple Georgia cities. The brand opened in Rome more than a year ago, followed by a Moultrie location. Their newest location in Milledgeville opened on August 3 of this year.
