New in Cary: Randy's Pizza Coming Soon
Randy's will be replacing Noodles & Company's location in the Parkside Town Commons shopping center.
CARY, NC – Randy's Pizza is preparing to open a new restaurant at 1120 Parkside Main St, Cary, NC 27519, moving from its former Morrisville location on Davis Drive, owner Randy Smith told Business Debut.
The Morrisville restaurant at 4129 Davis Dr, Morrisville, NC 27560 closed at the end of May after a drop in sales tied to the departure of the shopping center's anchor grocery tenant, Harris Teeter, Smith said.
What to Expect
The Cary restaurant will carry over the same phone number and customer base from the Morrisville store, Smith said. He described the new space as a fresh start for a location that first opened in December 2006. Smith hopes the move will bring longtime regulars back while also reaching new diners in west Cary.
The restaurant will operate as one of eight Randy's Pizza locations across the Triangle.
Menu and Vision
The Cary location will use the same menu as the former Morrisville restaurant. Expect New York-style pizza by the slice and whole pies, calzones and stromboli, hot and cold subs, pasta dishes, wings, salads and desserts.
Specialty pies include options like meat combinations, vegetarian builds and white pizzas.
Brand History
Smith opened his first Randy's Pizza location in the Triangle in 1993, a week before his 26th birthday. He celebrated the concept’s 31st anniversary on August 18.
“I dropped out of school right after my sophomore year and I've just been working ever since. You put in the work, you put in the time, and good things will happen," Smith said.
Opening Timeline
Smith is targeting an opening before the end of September, pending town approvals and buildout progress. He said the gap between the May closure and the Cary opening will reach about 12 weeks if the schedule holds. The health department process and town permitting will determine the final timeline.
