New Full-Service Restaurant, Bar, and Flower Shop Opening in Tryon, NC

TRYON, NC — Sagrada is preparing to open very soon at 10 N Trade St, Tryon, NC 28782, led by Preston K Wainwright, his husband Jesse Wainwright, and chef partner Cynthia Albarran-Deso. Wainwright said the team has its final kitchen inspection scheduled and expects to open shortly after remaining approvals are complete.

What to Expect

Sagrada is a full-service restaurant and bar with seating for about 50 indoors. Wainwright said the restaurant will start as reservation-only as the team gets established in the market.

The concept blends the Wainwrights’ hospitality background from Bodega Noir with a more complete sit-down dining experience in Tryon. “[We] joined together to start a restaurant in a really small town that needs something kind of different,” Wainwright told Business Debut.

Guests will also find a floral component at the front of the building. Wainwright said a flower shop, Preston K Flowers, will be at the entrance and guests will walk through it before reaching the restaurant.

Menu and Vision

Chef Cynthia Albarran-Deso, who is of Mexican and Puerto Rican heritage, is bringing a Latin influence to the menu. Wainwright said the team is aiming for food that offers something different for the area, moving beyond the wine bar format the Wainwrights previously operated.

On the beverage side, Wainwright said Sagrada will build on the Bodega Noir foundation while adding “very botanical” craft cocktails alongside wine, beer and liquor, with Jesse Wainwright overseeing the bar program.

Opening Timeline

Wainwright said the team is “completely finished,” with alcohol licensing expected to be finalized and the kitchen inspection in progress as a final step ahead of opening. The restaurant is targeting a launch very soon, with an exact date to be announced.

Hours

Sagrada plans to be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Wainwright said. Additional operating hours are to be announced.
