New Comfort Food Spot Opening in West Midtown

Cafe in the City comes from the owners of Cafe Social House in Mableton.

ATLANTA, GA — Cafe in the City, the latest concept from Gloria and Marvin Smith, plans to open by April at 935 Marietta St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318, Smith told Business Debut. The couple is targeting an opening between March and April.

What to Expect

Cafe in the City will be the Smiths’ third location, joining Cafe Social House in Mableton and Cafe Social House Cobb, which operates inside the Cobb County Senior Center through a government contract, Smith told Business Debut.

The West Midtown restaurant is expected to have about 80 to 100 seats and a full bar.

Smith said Cafe in the City will closely mirror the comfort-food, breakfast-and-brunch approach of Cafe Social House, while extending the experience later into the day.

The menu will include items also served at their existing locations, including lamb chops and salmon brought in fresh multiple times a week, Smith told Business Debut. Cafe in the City will also add a dedicated coffee bar area with espresso, coffee and pastries.
