New Chicken Restaurant Opening Very Soon in Statesville, NC
Ray Ray’s Chicken Shack will debut their fifth location within a week or so.
STATESVILLE, NC — Ray Ray’s Chicken Shack, a family-owned fried chicken concept, is aiming to open this week at 105 Cowan Ln, Statesville, NC 28625. Drew Hodge, the brand’s director of operations, told Business Debut the team is waiting on a final visit from the health inspector, expected Monday, before bringing in food and setting an opening day.
What to Expect
The Statesville restaurant will be Ray Ray’s Chicken Shack’s fifth location. Hodge said the brand launched in January 2025 and has expanded quickly since then.
Ray Ray’s Chicken Shack is a family-owned business from Stacey and William Hodge. Drew Hodge said the concept is named for owner William Hodge’s daughter, Ray Ray.
Menu and Vision
Hodge said the Statesville location will mirror the existing Ray Ray’s menu, with the goal of keeping offerings consistent across locations. Expect fried chicken tenders, wings, nuggets, sandwiches, and mac and cheese bowls. On the lighter side, they offer salad bowls and sides.

Sunday–Thursday, 10:30 a.m.–10 p.m.
Friday–Saturday, 10:30 a.m.–11 p.m.
