New Breakfast and Lunch Cafe Coming to West Palm Beach
Brighten Your Day Cafe is preparing to open downtown, serving breakfast, lunch, espresso drinks, and indulgent French toast.
WEST PALM BEACH, FL - Brighten Your Day Cafe, a new breakfast and lunch spot from longtime chef Ethan Haim, is preparing to open in downtown West Palm Beach at 122 N. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Haim told Business Debut the cafe is awaiting final health inspections and is targeting an opening in early February.
Located across from City Hall and the courthouse, the fast-casual concept is designed to serve downtown workers, residents, and visitors with quality food that can be enjoyed quickly or at a more relaxed pace.
“If you have good food, it can make your outlook on the day brighter,” Haim told Business Debut. “Even if your day didn’t start out great, a good meal can change that.”
What to Expect
Brighten Your Day Cafe will operate as a breakfast-and-lunch-only cafe with counter ordering and both indoor and outdoor seating. The setup is meant to accommodate guests who need to be in and out quickly, as well as those who want to sit and enjoy their meal.
“I wanted people to be able to afford good food and still come here more than once a week,” Haim told Business Debut. “You shouldn’t have to spend $20 just to eat breakfast.”
Menu and Vision
The menu will feature espresso drinks, freshly ground drip coffee, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and fruit smoothies made with frozen fruit and no added syrups. Breakfast offerings include build-your-own egg sandwiches and bowls, quiche, frittatas, omelets, avocado toast, and a full lineup of Benedicts.
French toast is expected to be a standout. Haim said the menu will include a stuffed tiramisu French toast made with brioche and mascarpone filling, as well as a triple-berry French toast featuring house-cooked strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries piped inside. “It’s indulgent, but it’s one of those things that just makes people smile,” Haim told Business Debut.
Lunch will include sandwiches, wraps, salads, burgers made with Angus beef, fresh soups prepared from house-made stocks, and items like ahi tuna poke and spicy salmon wraps.
The cafe will also be dog-friendly for outdoor diners, with breakfast and lunch options available for dogs, including eggs and bacon in the morning and a simple chicken breast at lunch. “There are so many people walking their dogs downtown,” Haim told Business Debut. “I wanted them to be able to sit, eat, and include their dog as part of the experience.”
Background and Experience
Haim brings roughly 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry to Brighten Your Day Cafe. He told Business Debut his career began in California, starting in entry-level kitchen roles before working his way through a wide range of restaurant styles, from fast food to fine dining.
Over the years, Haim worked under several nationally recognized chefs in California, New York, and Florida, experiences he said shaped his approach to cooking and hospitality.
“I learned that food isn’t just about taste,” Haim told Business Debut. “If you cook with care and intention, it actually changes how people feel.”
Brighten Your Day Cafe marks Haim’s second restaurant as an owner and his first solo venture. He said the concept reflects everything he has learned over decades in the kitchen, with a focus on fresh ingredients, approachable pricing, and food that leaves guests feeling satisfied rather than weighed down.
“I wanted to create a place where people can afford to eat well and leave feeling better than when they walked in,” Haim told Business Debut.
