Myth and Legend Coffee Opening New Café in Marble Hill
Specialty grade coffee, handcrafted drinks, and a community-focused atmosphere will highlight Myth and Legend's fifth location.

MARBLE HILL, GA – Myth and Legend Coffee is expanding once again, bringing its signature unforgettable coffee experience to a new shop in Marble Hill. The café, located at 88 N Gate Station Dr, Marble Hill, GA 30148, is expected to open by the end of September or early October, according to owner Doug Cole, who spoke with Business Debut.
The shop will feature about 20 indoor seats, with additional outdoor seating, making it 25 seats or so, in a space just under 1,000 square feet. Unlike some of the other Myth and Legend locations, this site will not include a drive-through, encouraging guests to relax and enjoy their drinks inside.
What’s on the Menu
Guests at Myth and Legend will find a full lineup of drinks made with coffee roasted by Doug Cole’s sister company, Because Coffee. Founded in 2019, Because Coffee supplies every Myth and Legend location with freshly roasted, specialty grade coffee. The menu also highlights ceremonial grade matcha, loose leaf teas, handcrafted chai, and syrups made in house. Seasonal choices such as the butterbeer cold brew called the Golden Snitch and a new banana bread syrup keep things fresh and fun.
The Marble Hill café will also feature a variety of baked goods and light meals prepared in house. Brownies, muffins, yogurt parfaits, thumbprint cookies, pound cake, scratch biscuits, and breakfast sandwiches will all be available, along with options like breakfast burritos. The team is also adding a brunch concept that may include avocado toast, crepes, seasonal waffles, and soup.
“My favorite drink is still a simple black coffee; it’s what got me into roasting in the first place,” Cole said. “But I also love a cortado. Our drinks are crafted to let the coffee shine.”
From Roasting to Growing a Coffee Brand
Cole’s journey with coffee started in 2016 in Ohio, where he experimented with roasting beans on a simple popcorn popper before upgrading to a small roaster. He began selling his coffee at farmers markets, pop ups, and online, building a following. In 2018, he and his family moved to Georgia to work with friends on a nonprofit initiative, and the following year he launched Because Coffee, a roastery and café in Dawsonville. In 2022, the brand expanded into retail cafés with the first Myth and Legend Coffee location, which has since grown into a multi-location concept.
“People love the look, the feel, the design. They love our menu,” Cole said. “So we just said let’s stick with Myth and Legend as a strong brand. Our goal is to serve unforgettable coffee, unforgettable service, and create an unforgettable experience.”
Marble Hill will be the fifth Myth and Legend Coffee location, alongside the company’s sister brand, Because Coffee, which operates its own roastery and café. The first Myth and Legend shop opened in Cumming, Georgia, in 2022, and the brand has since built a reputation for handcrafted drinks and a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere.
The business is supported by several partners, including Eddie Wilson, Dave Jorgensen, Tim Brennan, and Paul Raygor, each playing a role in the company’s growth.
