ATLANTA, GA — Stars Cafe is targeting a May opening at 349 Decatur St. SE, Atlanta, GA 30312, owner Deitrich Armstrong told Business Debut. The team is renovating the space now and hopes to open by mid-May, ideally before Memorial Day weekend.

What to Expect

Armstrong described Stars Cafe as a modern-day diner focused on traditional American fare, with a setup designed for the neighborhood’s steady foot traffic, including students living at the Pencil Factory. The space is expected to have seating for approximately 60 guests.

The menu will center on “traditional American eateries,” Armstrong said, with a lineup that includes burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, french fries, wings and other handheld items. Along with the diner-style menu, Stars Cafe plans to offer full bar service.

“This is not too many places that focus on diner-style food around, so we just wanted to be able to offer people a little bit of a variety,” Armstrong told Business Debut.

Opening Timeline

Stars Cafe is targeting a May opening, with Armstrong aiming for mid-May if renovations stay on track. No exact opening date has been announced.

Hours

The cafe plans to start with daily hours from 8 a.m. — 10 p.m. or 11 p.m., with the potential to extend hours later.
