ORLANDO, FL — Milkshake Factory is targeting a mid-April soft opening and a mid-May grand opening at 595 West Church Street, Suite K, Orlando, FL 32805, owner Miller Johnson IV told Business Debut.

The Orlando store will be the brand’s first in the city and Johnson said it is part of a larger plan to open multiple locations in the market.

What to Expect

Milkshake Factory is a fast-casual sweet shop built around milkshakes, house-made chocolate and grab-and-go treats. Guests can expect about 17 milkshake flavors, including Rocky Road, peanut butter cookies and cream, Cookie Jar, chocolate-dipped strawberry, mint chocolate chip and vanilla.

Johnson said nearly all of the milkshakes can be made non-dairy. Beyond the shakes, the shop will also offer chocolate-dipped strawberries, strawberry fudge bowls, banana fudge bowls, root beer floats, cake pops and Dubai bars.

The chocolate side of the business is a major part of the concept. Johnson said the store will make chocolate in-house and sell 10 to 12 bark flavors that rotate throughout the year, including peanut butter toffee, milk chocolate cookies and cream, and cookie crumbles.

Milkshake Factory comes from a fourth-generation chocolatier family based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Johnson said he was drawn to the brand because it offered a product he believed in and a family-oriented system he wanted to build with in Orlando.

“One of the things was something that was I believe I wanted a product that I could believe in,” Johnson told Business Debut. He added that building Milkshake Factory in Orlando is part of “paving the way for the next generation.”

Johnson also shared some personal favorites, including the raspberry cream milkshake and the peanut butter toffee bark.
