Cafe del Cielo Bringing Tex Mex Brunch to McDonough
Cafe del Cielo will offer an independent breakfast and lunch concept in McDonough.

MCDONOUGH, GA – Cafe del Cielo is preparing to open at 232 Racetrack Rd, McDonough, GA 30252, bringing a Tex-Mex breakfast and brunch destination for locals. Marina del Cielo Fisher owns the new cafe and is replacing Leo's Cafe, which moved out of the space earlier this year. Fisher confirmed with Business Debut that they are set to open in approximately two weeks and are awaiting final inspections.
Menu Highlights
Cafe del Cielo will offer an American-Mexican fusion menu, specializing in breakfast and brunch. Signature items include breakfast skillets like the carne asada and roasted potatoes, breakfast tacos with chorizo and more, chilaquiles, and an assortment of creative pancakes, and more.
Lunch offerings will include fajitas, quesadillas, and traditional Mexican soups like menudo. Describing them menu, Fisher said, “It's actually hearty, flavorful food.”
The cafe will be open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
A Homage to Family
Fisher shared that the cafe is a personal and sentimental venture, honoring her late aunt Marina, who she is named after. “Del Cielo is my middle name and a homage to my aunt,” she said. "Del cielo" translates to "of heaven," Fisher shared.
The space design will be cozy but modernized and retain the charm of the former Leo’s Cafe while introducing a fresh concept with a family-friendly environment. There will be a mural of the sun on the wall, a signature feature in the decor.
This will be Fisher's first restaurant venture.
