Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls Opening Three Locations in Southwest Florida

FORT MYERS, FL — Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls is preparing to open two fast-casual seafood restaurants in Southwest Florida, starting with their Daniels Crossing location at 6900 Daniels Pkwy, Fort Myers, FL 33912. Co-franchisee Lisa Stroud told Business Debut that she is planning a soft opening on December 1 with a grand opening on December 3 at the Fort Myers store.

A second restaurant at 8017 Plaza del Lago Dr, Estero, FL 33928 is expected to follow closely, with a third location planned for Midtown Bonita at 13000 Bonita Beach Rd SE, Bonita Springs, FL 34135 in 2026.

What to Expect

Stroud described Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls as a fast-casual seafood concept centered on lobster, crab and shrimp rolls. Guests order at the counter and can dine in a relaxed setting.

She expects the Southwest Florida locations to draw guests looking for a quick seafood option without a dressy, sit-down experience. “You can walk in off the beach and get a really good lobster roll quickly,” she told Business Debut.

Menu and Vision

The menu focuses on lobster rolls made with lobster sourced from Maine, along with crab and shrimp rolls and salads. Mason's will serve both the warm Connecticut-style roll and the chilled classic version, giving guests multiple ways to enjoy lobster.

“The menu is very simplistic, which makes it easier,” Stroud told Business Debut, noting that the streamlined offerings help keep service times short. Specials include lobster, crab and shrimp mac and cheese, as well as lobster and crab grilled cheese.

Families will find options beyond seafood, including a Nathan's beef hot dog, mac and cheese and grilled cheese for guests who prefer non-seafood items. Stroud operates the Southwest Florida franchise with her husband, Kevin Stroud, and their son, KJ Stroud; the family also runs two Mason's locations and a Mason's food trailer in the Richmond, Virginia, area.

Opening Timeline

For Daniels Crossing in Fort Myers, Stroud said she has a health inspection scheduled and is targeting a soft opening on December 1 and a grand opening on December 3.

At Coconut Point in Estero, she said state approvals are in place and an inspection is scheduled for December 2. The goal is to be open in time to serve guests during Coconut Point's annual Tropical Holiday event on December 6, though that timing remains subject to final inspections and approvals.

The Midtown Bonita location at 13000 Bonita Beach Rd SE in Bonita Springs is targeting a third-quarter 2026 opening, following turnover of the new-build space.
