DADE COUNTY

Marco's Pizza

A new unit of Marco's is coming to town soon, according to a plan review filing with the DBPR. Marco's Pizza is planned for Miami by way of franchisees Javier De Zengotita and Abdelkader Abuosba. When this location is planned to open is still unknown.

They will be located at: 1501 SW 37th Ave, Miami, FL 33145.

Hampton Social Miami

Brad Parker of the Parker Restaurant Group will open a location of the Hampton Social in Miami soon. Parker reported to FFBW that they are planning for a late summer or early fall opening.

The trendy restaurant already has locations in various Florida cities and in several other states. Check out their website to get acquainted with their "Rose All Day" attitude.

BROWARD COUNTY

Caprichitos Bakery & Pastry Shop

Margate is welcoming a new bakery and pastry shop, according to co-owner Marco Ordonez. Caprichitos is planned to open on the 20th of this month, Ordonez reported to FFBW.

Bliss Bar and Nightclub

Lauderhill will soon be home to Bliss Bar and Nightclub, according to co-owner Richard Roopnarine. Roopnarine told FFBW that he doesn't have an opening date to announce quite yet.

Whole Green Cafe

Restauranteur Tomer Bar reported that he is opening another location of his Whole Green Cafe soon. Whole Green Cafe specializes in serving healthy meals and snacks, like juices, smoothies, bowls, wraps, salads, and more.

The brand has one location in Delrey. Their opening date was the 15th of this month; and following this opening, Bar reported that he wants to expand into Fort Lauderdale as well.

Maggie McFly's

A new location of the popular bar and restaurant Maggie McFly's is coming to Boca Raton. The brand, which has a presence in several other states is opening their first Florida unit soon, according to owner Ray Harper. Harper estimates that the Boca Raton location will open in October of this year.

PALM BEACH COUNTY

Naty Ice Cream

Lake Worth will be getting a new ice cream shop, according to a plan review filing with the DBPR. Naty Ice Cream will be owned by Mahannad and Moayad Ammar, of Natalie Ice Cream LLC. An opening date is unavailable as of now.

Sakura Ramen

Japanese cuisine is coming to West Palm Beach, according to owner Zheng Xing Zheng. This forthcoming location of Sakura Ramen is in the construction phase of development; thus, Zheng didn't have an opening date to share.

Matthew's Brewing Company Scratch Kitchen

A local Lake Worth brewing company is expanding their brand in the area, according to a recent plan review filing with the DBPR. Matthew's Brewing Company is already serving craft brews on S H Street, but next door on Dixie Hwy, they will open a food service concept.

According to their Facebook post, they will be opening in Q2 or Q3 of this year.

MARTIN COUNTY

Bubbakoo's Burritos

A build-your-own burrito restaurant is gearing up to open in Stuart, according to co-franchisee LJ Baillargeon. The Bubbakoo's Burritos brand has locations across the country. Baillargeon doesn't have an opening date to share as of now. They planned initially for May, but Baillargeon told FFBW that they've seen constant delays.

ORANGE COUNTY

Alchemy Lounge

A new nightlife concept is coming to Orlando, according to co-owner Kelly Ramesar. An official opening date for Alchemy Lounge has not been announced. There is another nightlife spot called Alchemy Lounge on Kirkman Road, but Ramesar confirmed that these are separate businesses.

Great Greek Mediterranean Grill

Two new locations are in the works for the Great Greek, according to co-franchisee Kevin Carmean. The first will be in Celebration, at: 4954 N Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32818. Carmean told FFBW to expect this unit to open in late 2023.

The second location is coming to Maitland. Their address will be: 701 Vista Trelago, Maitland, FL 32751 (not available on the map as of now). Carmean reports that this will open in early 2024.

BREVARD COUNTY

BB-Rad's Smokehouse

Titusville is welcoming a new BBQ joint to the neighborhood soon, according to a filing with the DBPR. BB-Rad's Smokehouse is owned by Bradley and Shelly Russell, of BB-Rad's Smokehouse. Inc. Their listing on Google suggests a June opening.

Culver's

Titusville is welcoming a new Culver's location to town soon, according to co-franchise Luis Fernandez. Originally from Illinois, Fernandez reported that this is his first Culver's in Florida. He estimates it to open on October 23 of this year.

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY

Surf Subs

Jack and Dina Iovine are opening a sub shop in Vero Beach soon, Dina shared with FFBW.

The couple is known for generosity in their hometown of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, where they owned Portofino Pizza and Pasta. In the midst of the pandemic, the couple prepared and delivered free meals to their neighbors in need. See more about that here.

As for their life in Vero Beach, Dina reported that they will open in another month or two; and they will serve hot and cold subs, paninis, flatbreads, and salads.

SEMINOLE COUNTY

Daddy's Chicken Shack

Lake Mary is welcoming a new location of Daddy's Chicken Shack, according to franchisee Ed Zausch. The brand has locations across the country and is poised to continue growing. Zausch told FFBW that he holds the franchise rights for much of Central Florida.

Pheobe's Homemade Ice Cream & Cafe

Oviedo will soon welcome a new frozen treat cafe, according to owner Diego Da Rocha. Pheobe's Homemade Ice Cream & Cafe is planning to open toward the end of this month, Da Rocha shared with FFBW.

Violet's Ice Cream Boutique

Dessert shops appear to be flourishing in Seminole County. Owner Violet Sawukaytis confirmed with FFBW that Violet's Ice Cream Boutique is headed to Oviedo soon. They are targeting an August opening.
