Mangio Italiano Opening Italian Market and Eatery in Osprey
Fresh pasta, pizza, and Italian grocery items will be available in this dual-concept market and fast-casual restaurant.
A new fast-casual restaurant and Italian specialty grocery shop is coming to Osprey, owner Omar Siddiqui shared with Business Debut. The shop will feature counter service for fresh pizza, handmade pasta, and other Italian favorites.
The space will include an open kitchen, allowing guests to watch chefs craft homemade pasta and pizzas. The pasta, branded as Amo Pasta, will also be sold in the Italian market onsite. The market will carry meats, cheeses, olives, Italian beer and wine, and more, Siddiqui said.
Mangio Italiano will open at 153 N Tamiami Trail, Osprey, FL 34229 and will span 2,000 square feet with a few tables for dine-in service.
The shop will also offer take-and-bake meals in addition to made-to-order dishes.
Siddiqui noted that the plan is to wholesale Amo Pasta products to restaurants and supermarkets, and they are considering selling fresh pizza dough in the retail market as well.
