Mama’s Market to Debut Retail Space in Hiawassee

HIAWASSEE, GA – Mama’s Market is preparing to open a brand-new retail location and commercial kitchen at 249 Big Sky Dr, Hiawassee, GA 30546. Owners Lisa Barbanera and Lauren Logan, a mother/daughter dynamic duo, told Business Debut that the business is targeting a mid-to-late September opening.

The Mama’s Market concept will combine a practical catering kitchen and a friendly retail area. Guests can come in to get fresh-baked treats, grab-and-go dinners, and special gourmet products all in one spot.

The expanded kitchen will also provide Mama’s Concierge Services with additional capacity to handle catering orders, along with the convenience of a designated pick-up point for customers.

What’s on the Menu

The retail side of Mama’s Market will be divided into two main sections: a bakery and a gourmet market. Cakes, cheesecakes, lemon bars, cinnamon buns, chocolate-covered strawberries, and pastries are all on the menu. Convenient pick-up dinners will be available too. Think dishes like baked ziti, lasagna, chicken salad, and antipasto salad.

The market will feature specialty items, including jams, jellies, candles, gourmet olive oils, balsamic vinegars, mustards, and a private-label wine. Fresh-brewed lattes and coffee will also be available on the menu.

A Family-Owned Expansion

Mama’s Market is the latest venture from Mama’s Concierge Services, a catering company the mother-daughter team has operated for the past three years. Together, they have established a solid reputation for providing personalized service and high-quality catering.

Hours and Operations

Once open, Mama’s Market plans to operate Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. The shop will close on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which tend to be slower business days in the area.
