Mai Thai Kitchen and Bar Replacing Brack's Kitchen
The concept will blend modern Thai cuisine and European influences.
ATLANTA, GA — Mai Thai Kitchen and Bar is planning a March opening at 3872 Roswell Rd NE Unit 18 B, Atlanta, GA 30342, in the former Brack’s Kitchen space, co-owner Duc Tran told Business Debut. The Buckhead restaurant will focus on modern Thai cuisine with European influences and a full-service bar.
The story was run first by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
What to Expect
The space will seat about 84 guests inside, plus approximately 20 to 24 seats on the patio. Mai Thai Kitchen and Bar will operate as a full-service restaurant and bar. The team plans to stay open late, particularly on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, to serve guests who prefer later dining.
Menu and Vision
Tran described the concept as “modern Thai cuisine with European influence,” and said the goal is to bring something different to Buckhead, he told Business Debut. The menu will include curry-focused dishes, small plates and other Thai offerings alongside European-inspired items, like Spanish paellas and more.
Lunch will feature a dedicated menu designed for nearby workers, including what Tran called a Thai burrito wrap. He said the team aims to be the first in Atlanta to offer this specific style of Thai-inspired wrap, with several variations built around sandwiches and wraps.
Tran also emphasized the décor, noting that he wants guests to feel “a museum experience” when they walk in, with notable artwork and design elements inspired in part by classic Thai culture. He said pricing is intended to be “very friendly” to keep the concept accessible.
Behind the scenes, Mai Thai Kitchen and Bar will have three additional partners, with two partners working in the kitchen. Tran said having chef-partners is important for consistent manpower, execution and quality control of the cuisine and concept.
Opening Timeline
The team is targeting a March opening. An exact opening date is to be announced.
Hours
Mai Thai Kitchen and Bar plans to open seven days a week. Detailed daily hours are to be announced, but Tran said the restaurant expects to stay open until around midnight on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
