MIAMI-DADE COUNTY

Lyla's Coffee Company

Owner Dylan Myers is planning to open a new cafe in the greater Miami area, Myers told FFBW. Lyla's Coffee Company will serve coffee and pastries, Myers said.

An opening date isn't available as of now. The business is in its preliminary stages. The Lyla's Coffee Company LLC was filed on 6/27/23. An address isn't available as of now.

BROWARD COUNTY

Casa Pescado

A fresh and modern take on Japanese cuisine will be coming to Hallandale Beach this fall, operator of the restaurant Tae Lee told FFBW. Casa Pescado will be a casual dining experience that will offer seafood with Korean and Mediterranean flavor profiles, while drawing on Japanese culinary roots.

Lee told FFBW that fish will be served raw or dry-aged, and in three distinct fashions: hand rolled, crudo, or in rice bowls.

Casa Pescado is owned in part by AIM Hospitality Group, which is based out of New York. Lee estimates that Casa Pescado will open in November, but this is a tentative estimation.

Kebab Shop

Austin, Texas-based group TKS Restaurants LLC is bringing a location of Kebab Shop to Coral Springs, COO and co-founder Tony Farmand told FFBW. The details of the new kebab spot are slim, but FFBW is waiting on a spokesperson for the brand to provide more information.

Delicious La Michoacana

A new Mexican food and desserts place is planning to open in Fort Lauderdale this fall, according to owner Jazmin Torrez. Delicious La Michoacana will initially serve Mexican ice cream and other desserts, but Torrez said that they will eventually move into offering tacos as well.

Bowen's KC Grill

A new food truck is in the works for the Pompano Beach area. Owner Chynetta Bowens told FFBW that she doesn't have an opening date set yet.

Her plan is to serve barbecue.


Farmer's Milk

Owner Taras Moroz told FFBW that she is opening a new cafe this fall. Farmer's Milk will serve sandwiches, desserts, and coffee. Moroz's hope is to open in September.

Caribbean Cafe, LLC

A new Caribbean concept is coming to the Fort Lauderdale area, according to owner Abdner Flueranvil. There are few details for this concept. The business formation filing was executed 6/26/23. It is unknown if this will be a brick and mortar location or a mobile food unit.

There is not an address for this business yet.

MARTING & ST. LUCIE COUNTY

Scooter's Coffee

A recent business formation filing for EP Cafe LLC tipped us off that a new coffee shop is on the way. We reached out to Eric Gioia, the owner the LLC, and he confirmed that this filing represents a string of Scooter's Coffee locations that he is opening throughout Martin and St. Lucie counties over the next couple of years.

The first, Gioia said, will be open in April of next year. Gioia reported that they are in the preliminary stages of development and the date could fluctuate. An address is not available as of now.

BREVARD COUNTY

Stillwagon Lounge

A new wine, beer, and tapas bar is under development in Melbourne, according to owner David Becker. Located in the Eau Gallie Arts District, Stillwagon Lounge is sure to fit into the creative atmosphere.

Becker estimates opening sometime in September, but everything depends on the timing of receiving permits. Find the website here. Keep an eye out for wine, beer, and small bites in the arts district at: 1416 Highland Ave, Melbourne, FL 32935.

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY

Miso-Ramen and Pokebar

Owner Saw Myat confirmed with FFBW that a new concept is headed for the beachy area of Sebastian. Miso-Ramen and Pokebar is amid permitting and construction right now, Myat said. An opening date isn't set yet, but Myat estimated another two months or so.

Myat is also the owner of Wasabi Thai and Sushi, a restaurant that neighbors Misa-Ramen's imminent location. Find them at: 13405 US-1, Sebastian, FL 32958.

PINELLAS COUNTY

Zeebee's Vegan

A new solar powered mobile food operation is coming to the St. Pete area this fall, owner Zanetta Starks told FFBW. Zeebee's Vegan will serve carnival and outdoor foods, like hotdogs and other snacks; however their menu will be plant based and will avoid processed foods. Starks said that instead of impossible-style meat substitutes, she will use bean patties and the like.

Starks recently catered an event for the Foundation for a Healthy St. Pete, serving around 150 people. She will officially open in late September, she estimates.


Ada's Coffee Co.

A new food truck is planning to open sometime this fall, according to owner Jennifer Neely. Ada's Coffee Co. will serve espresso drinks and a few food items as well.

Neely told FFBW that she is hoping to be open and operational by September, but is waiting on licensing to be granted. As of now, she doesn't have a website or social media set up for the business.


Mexican Cravings

The Mexican Cravings brand is opening their first brick and mortar location, according to co-owner Laura Canul. Laura and Chad Canul have operated the brand as two food trucks, and now they are gearing up to move into a permanent spot.

Parlor Doughnuts

A multi-unit plan to bring five units of Parlor Doughnuts to Pinellas County is underway, co-franchisee Javeed Khan told FFBW. The first unit, which is under development now, is planned to open this October in Clearwater. Their next location will be in St. Pete.

The brand was founded in 2019 in Indiana by a father and son team, and has since grown to several locations across the United States. They have gained a reputation for offering many variations of doughnut, including: layered, vegan, gluten free, low carb and keto friendly doughnuts, along with craft coffees.

POLK COUNTY

Delectable Delights

A dessert brand that's been in the Tampa area is preparing to open its second location in Winter Haven, co-owner Devra Wygant told FFBW. Delectable Delights will serve ice cream, nostalgic candies, milkshakes, malts, molten cakes, and more.

Wygant told FFBW that she hopes to open by August 15, but this is projection and not final.
