Lucky Stefano’s is the restaurant equivalent of a one-man band. Owned by Steven Baron, the new restaurant in Ellijay will consist of a walk-up window and outdoor picnic tables with Italian umbrellas for shade. On the inside will be Steven Baron—taking orders, cooking homemade Italian dishes, and brewing Italian coffee for his guests.

The new restaurant will open at: 2183 GA-52 b, Ellijay, GA 30536. It will share a roof with Shorty’s, a convenience store. There will be no indoor seating area, and guests will order from a takeout window.

The menu will consist of Italian dishes, pastas, gnocchi, flatbreads, a gourmet burger, cannolis, and more. Additionally, Baron shared that his pasta bar will have seven gourmet sauces to choose from.

The hope is to open as soon as possible, and that seems most likely to be between June 10–12, Baron said. Guests can also opt to purchase beer and wine from the convenience store next door and enjoy it with their meals at the picnic tables.

Hours will be Wednesday–Saturday from 11:30 am to 7 pm, and Sunday from 11:30 am to 5 pm.

Baron’s love for Italian food comes from his roots in Europe. He was born in Spain and lived in several countries in Western Europe before landing in Italy. His family was close to an Italian family that owned a restaurant on the beach in their town, where Baron spent a lot of time with his friends. In that environment, he grew to not only love the flavor of Italian food but also to appreciate the culture of dining and leisure known in Italy.

Having had a career in the vacation rental business, Baron has rented homes, catered meals for guests, and has always been encouraged to open his own restaurant. Once he retired, he mentioned an interest in the space he is now occupying to the owner—only to be told that it would be vacant in two weeks.

Now, Lucky Stefano’s is opening very soon. Follow them on Facebook.
