CORNELIUS, NC — Little Mama’s Italian is planning to expand to Cornelius, with owner Frank Scibelli telling Business Debut that plans are underway for a new restaurant at 9623 Bailey Rd Suite 100, Cornelius, NC 28031. The team is currently developing plans and is targeting an opening in the first quarter of 2026.

What to Expect

The Cornelius location will closely follow the format of the brand’s Rea Farms restaurant, which Scibelli said best reflects the evolving Little Mama’s design and atmosphere. The new restaurant will include full service and a full bar, comparable in size and layout to its sister locations.

Guests can expect seating for approximately 163. Like other Little Mama’s locations, the Cornelius restaurant will feature a warm, casual dining environment designed for families and groups.

The menu will mirror that of Little Mama’s Rea Farms, offering the same Italian-American comfort dishes the restaurant is known for. Scibelli told Business Debut that pizza will continue to be a signature part of future locations—something the original restaurant did not include due to space limitations. “Moving forward they would all have pizza as part of the concepts,” he said.

Opening Timeline

The team is targeting a first quarter 2026 opening. Construction and buildout will begin once design plans are finalized.

Hours

Hours are expected to be similar to the existing Little Mama’s locations, with potential for slight variations depending on local demand.

Market and Expansion

Scibelli’s FS Food Group continues to grow, with recent openings including Paco’s Tacos & Tequila in Fort Mill and Yafo Kitchen in Ballantyne. He told Business Debut the company plans to open one to three new restaurants each year for the foreseeable future.
