Lil Hombre Debuting in Wake Forest Soon
The Lil Hombre taco spot in Clayton is getting a new location.
WAKE FOREST, NC — Lil Hombre, the taco spot from owner Jason Howard, is expanding to a new location on November 1st at 535 South White Street Suite 125, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
Howard told Business Debut the new concept will open next door to Cardinal Bar, another concept of his. Cardinal Bar, which has locations in Clayton, Raleigh, Wilson, opened at the same address in Suite 120 on Friday, October 17th.
What to Expect
Lil Hombre will serve a menu focused on tacos. Guests can choose from three different styles: a lettuce, roasted salsa, cheddar, and chipotle mayonnaise combo; a traditional cilantro, salsa, and onion version; or a fajita-style taco with chipotle slaw and vegetables. Each can be paired with a protein of choice. Frozen drinks and Mexican beers be served as well.
Howard shared that they make their own marinades, cook over live fire, and make a hybrid corn and flour tortilla pressed with cheese. The Wake Forest shop is the second Lil Hombre location. The original unit is in Clayton, NC.
Cardinal Bar
Next door, Howard debuted Cardinal Bar on Friday, October 17th at 5 p.m. Cardinal Bar is known for live music, cold drinks, and hot dogs.
The Cavalier
Howard also opened The Cavalier in Wilson, North Carolina, four weeks ago. The restaurant occupies a renovated mid-century modern Exxon station featuring a 70-seat patio, 20-seat bar, and 20-seat dining room. The menu includes pizza, burgers, and wings. See The Cavalier on Instagram.
