Lickety Split Sweet Stop is preparing to open its doors on November 1st, bringing handcrafted ice cream treats, retro floats, and a variety of sweets to 104 Beech St, Cochran, GA 31014. Owners Sonja and Jerica told Business Debut they are awaiting final approval from local and county officials ahead of the debut. The shop will serve as a new gathering spot for families and sweet lovers alike.

What to Expect

Lickety Split will feature premium ice cream supplied by The Ice Cream Club, which offers more than 150 flavors. Guests can look forward to classic sundaes, banana splits, specialty shakes, and ice cream flights featuring three to five flavors. The menu will also include specialty popcorn, chocolate-dipped pretzels, and chocolate-covered nuts.

Seating will accommodate about 32 guests, with most seating indoors and two benches outdoors. Sonja said the goal is to create a comfortable, family-friendly environment. The shop will also feature retro touches that evoke the charm of old-fashioned ice cream parlors.

The owners describe Lickety Split as a community-driven dessert shop designed to bring people together. “We noticed there wasn’t an ice cream shop here,” Sonja told Business Debut. “I’m a regular ice cream go-getter, so we decided to bring one to town.”

Jerica, who resides in Michigan, contributes creative ideas while Sonja manages operations on-site. The family-owned business plans to host monthly activities, including kiddie bingo, movie nights, and “spin the wheel” discount days. These events are intended to give families more local entertainment options.

Opening Timeline

Lickety Split is targeting a November 1st opening, pending final health department approval. The owners said the timing aligns with the community’s growing downtown activity.

  • Tuesday through Thursday: 3 p.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Friday: 3 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Saturday: 1 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Sunday: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Closed Mondays.
