TARPON SPRINGS, FL — Leonidas, a globally recognized Belgian chocolate brand, is preparing to open at 510 Dodecanese Blvd, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689, with a soft opening targeted for next week, Joseph Salloum told Business Debut.

The shop is locally owned by Salloum alongside Joe and Tonia Khouri and will be located along the Sponge Docks near the water.

What to Expect

Leonidas will operate as a counter-service concept offering indoor and outdoor seating with views of the water. Guests can expect a selection of imported Belgian chocolates, Greek desserts, and a full coffee bar featuring both hot and cold drinks.

The shop will seat about 35 to 40 guests indoors and an additional 30 outside, Salloum told Business Debut. The space is designed to complement the historic Greek identity of Tarpon Springs and provide a relaxed environment for visitors exploring the Sponge Docks.

The menu will feature Leonidas chocolates flown in weekly from Belgium, alongside pastries imported from Greece and select items made in-house. Salloum highlighted a honey cake created by his mother, Louda Polishchuk, who brings a background in Eastern European baking.

“We wanted to create an addition to complement the town and to bring something nice that is not available in Tarpon Springs,” Salloum told Business Debut.

Coffee offerings will include traditional Greek coffee as well as espresso-based drinks. The shop will also serve beans from local coffee roaster: Aleph Premium Coffee, including their Ethiopian organic varieties available by the cup or by the pound.

Salloum, who also operates Acropolis Tarpon Springs, said the team is focused on hospitality and creating a welcoming experience for both locals and visitors. Follow on their Website and Instagram.
