Laziz Fry & Buy Opening a Neighborhood Market in Raleigh
The new market will feature breakfast, lunch and dinner meals along with harder-to-find South East Asian spices and groceries.
CARY, NC — Laziz Fry & Buy, a halal fried chicken restaurant, deli, and convenience store, is targeting a January opening at 1200 Gathering Park Circle Suite 104, Cary, NC 27519, operator and manager Mohammad Raez told Business Debut. The business is owned by Syed Hossain, with Raez serving as the local operator.
What to Expect
Laziz Fry & Buy will combine a casual halal deli with a neighborhood convenience store. Guests can order breakfast, lunch and dinner items alongside quick grab-and-go options.
The business promotes itself as the “first and foremost Halal fried chicken deli and minimart in RTP." The aim is to serve nearby residents looking for both prepared food and everyday essentials without a longer drive to larger grocers.
Menu and Vision
“The deli is going to be like a New York-style deli but with some Indian twist to it,” Raez told Business Debut. He is targeting both the area’s Indian community and transplants from Northeastern cities such as New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Chicago.
One planned specialty is a butter chicken burrito made with traditional butter chicken and basmati rice. It will be topped with a fresh salsa of cucumber, tomato, onion, cilantro and thinly diced mango, offering an Indian take on pico de gallo, and served with a cucumber, mint and yogurt raita for dipping.
On the minimart side, Laziz Fry & Buy will stock South East Asian spices and everyday grocery items. The idea is to give customers a nearby option for ingredients they might otherwise drive to larger stores such as Patel Brothers and H Mart to find.
Opening Timeline
Raez said some interior build-out is already in place, with additional plumbing work planned for mid-December, contingent on Town of Cary permitting.
Equipment installation is planned before Christmas, followed by test runs ahead of opening. The team is targeting a January 1 soft opening, with the date still dependent on final permits and setup, he told Business Debut.
Hours
Sunday through Thursday: 7 a.m. — 7 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 7 a.m. — 9 p.m.
Raez said the schedule is designed to serve breakfast and lunch traffic, while also offering dinner boxes, sandwiches and burritos for guests who want a convenient evening meal, all day.
