The Shawarma Spot, a popular fast-casual eatery, is expanding its metro Atlanta footprint with a new takeout-focused location at 1417 Grayson Highway, Unit C, Lawrenceville, GA 30045. According to owner Saad Ashraf, who spoke with Business Debut, the restaurant is targeting an opening by late July or August.

The new location will mirror The Shawarma Spot’s original unit at Sugarloaf Mills Mall, which launched earlier this year.

While the final hours are still being finalized, Ashraf shared that they plan to open before noon and operate as late as 9 to 11 pm, depending on local traffic and customer demand. The menu at the Lawrenceville unit will be the same as that at Sugarloaf Mills, known for its fresh, fast-casual menu of middle eastern and Mediterranean cuisine.

Ashraf, who had no prior restaurant experience before launching The Shawarma Spot, says he’s already looking ahead to future growth. “Definitely,” he replied when asked if more expansion would be planned soon.

The decision to open a second location came naturally, as the concept has been popular since its launch in the Sugarloaf Mills mall.
