La Cucina Italiana Opening in Smokey Hollow Development

RALEIGH, NC – La Cucina Italiana, a beloved Italian restaurant in Clayton, is preparing to open its newest location at 524 N West St, Raleigh, NC 27603, in the Smokey Hollow real estate development. Owner Mohammad Baloch told Business Debut that they are nearly through final inspections and expect to welcome guests on Friday, Sept 26th and then host a grand opening on Monday, Sept 29th.

What Guests Can Expect

The new La Cucina Italiana will offer full-service dining and a full liquor bar. There will be up to 81 seats for guests.

Guests can look forward to house-made sauces, fresh pastas, and special Italian dishes, along with a bigger bar selection.

From Italian Kitchen to La Cucina Italiana

The history of La Cucina Italiana began in 1998 when Baloch set up Italian Kitchen on Raleigh's Wake Forest Road. They sold their share of that restaurant in 2014 and opened La Cucina Italiana in Clayton, continuing their passion for authentic Italian food.

They additionally owned a location in Morrisville that was sold to their employees during covid. The team behind the Morrisville location also opened a unit in Raleigh on Glenwood Avenue.

La Cucina Italiana in Smokey Hollow will open daily at 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Sundays through Wednesdays, and 11 a.m. – 1 a.m. on Thursday through Saturday. Hours may change as well, depending on customer traffic.
