NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — Ksplitz Creamery is preparing to open a second location at 3104 Town Ave, Suite 104B, New Port Richey, FL 34655, targeting just after Thanksgiving while it awaits final state inspections, owner Kaiden Padgett told Business Debut. The new shop will join the company’s existing New Port Richey store on State Road 54.

What to Expect

The Longleaf shop will operate as a hand-scooped ice cream creamery featuring homemade, small-batch flavors made on site. Padgett said Ksplitz focuses on community outreach and fundraising and is looking forward to serving the Longleaf and Starkey Ranch area, where his family lives nearby.

Ksplitz is a family business co-founded by Padgett and his fiancée, Brooke Voutsinas, with his parents Steve and Shannel Padgett involved in operations since the founding of the business.

Padgett said the business is built around scratch-made products with no preservatives, including its core menu of handcrafted ice cream. “We specialize in homemade handcrafted ice cream. We make everything in shop,” he told Business Debut.

The Longleaf location will add a Maryland-style twist to the menu with traditional snowballs, a fine, powdery shaved ice dessert Padgett’s family enjoyed growing up. “We’re gonna have some Maryland style snowballs over there, just a little shout out to our hometown,” he told Business Debut, noting they hope to introduce classic flavors like egg custard.

Ksplitz began as a food truck in 2021 before opening its current brick-and-mortar shop in 2023. The second location continues that growth while staying focused on serving the local community.

Opening Timeline

Padgett said there is no confirmed opening date yet. The team is aiming for just after Thanksgiving and plans to open as soon as inspections are complete. The interior buildout is nearly finished, and Padgett said they expect to be ready to operate immediately once approvals are in place.

The Longleaf shop is expected to follow the same schedule as the existing location. Planned hours are:

  • Open daily at noon
  • Sunday through Thursday: noon—9 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: noon—10 p.m.

Hours are subject to adjustment after opening.
