ORANGE COUNTY

Ginger's Baking Company

A new bakery and cafe is opening its first location in Winter Garden this summer. Ginger's Baking Company is owned by Mandy Kashnow-Gay. Kashnow-Gay currently operates her business from home and in commissary kitchens around town. This July, they will open as a bakery and cafe that will serve eat-in and take-out goodies alike. According to Kashnow-Gay, they will be open from the early morning to the afternoon, with occasional social events in the evenings. Visit the website here.

K/BOB Korean Street Food

A new Korean street food concept is opening in Orlando soon, according to co-owner Demario Harris. K/BOB is particularly special, because Harris’ 19 year-old son Giovanni is the founder and leader of the incoming restaurant. According to Harris, Giovanni has been a cook since he was a child, and recent trip to Korea inspired him to bring the incredible street food back to his community in Florida.

Split Oak Axescape Games

A recently filing with the DBPR confirms that a new entertainment venue is coming to St. Cloud. Not much is known currently about Split Oak Axescape Games. From the name of business, we’re guessing maybe a hybrid between escape rooms, axe throwing, and maybe some food and drink. We’ll be back to update this page once we find more. The business is owned by Robert and Nicole Masucci.

PALM BEACH COUNTY

Smoke Shack BBQ and Burgers

A New Jersey-based brand is expanding in South Florida, according to co-owner Timothy Jensen. Smoke Shack BBQ and Burgers will open in Delray Beach in approximately three weeks, Jensen says. This will be the brand’s fourth location. They have one other in Royal Palm Beach Gardens that opened in January. Jensen remarked that they are looking to continue growing in Florida.

BROWARD COUNTY

Clean Eatz

A new location of the Clean Eatz brand is coming to the area, according to filings with the DBPR. FFBW confirmed that this location is owned by Robert Dolce. When they plan to open isn’t available as of now.

Expect to find them in Coconut Creek at 4800 W Hillsboro Blvd.

Truluck’s Fort Lauderdale

This upscale seafood and crab restaurant is re-establishing itself in Fort Lauderdale. Truluck’s was once located in the Galleria Mall, but closed down in 2020. According to their website, they will be re-opening sometime this year in a new location.

Expect to find their new restaurant at 701 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304.

Bellagamba’s Fine Italian Restaurant

A plan review filing with the DBPR indicates that a new Italian restaurant is planned for Fort Lauderdale. Bellagamba’s Fine Italian Restaurant will open sometime this summer, according to the website. It is owned by Davide Bellagamba.

Expect it to appear at 501 SE 2nd St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301.

Smoker’s Dream Lounge

A new concept is coming to Hollywood soon, according to the owner Mr. Salem. Salem reported to FFBW that he is waiting on the city’s final approval, and then he will open his doors for business.

Red Sea Restaurant

A new concept is in the works for Oakland Park, according to a filing with the DBPR. Red Sea Restaurant is coming to the area by way of owner Yoseph Kidane. When the new restaurant will open is not known.

Rubino’s Pizzeria e Ristorante Italiano

A new pizzeria and Italian restaurant is moving into Miami, according to a filing with the DBPR. Rubino’s Pizzeria e Ristorante Italiano is owned by Brandon and Ruben Mirarchi. Their website states that they will open sometime this month.

El Tambo Grill

A new Peruvian restaurant is coming to the area, according to a filing with the DBPR. El Tambo Grill is slated to appear in Dolphin Mall soon. The owners of this location are Rodolfo and Karla Ore, according to a filing with the Secretary of State. There are two others in the Miami area. When this unit will open is unknown. The website states: “Coming Soon!”

MONROE COUNTY

Papa Joe’s Waterfront

Islamorada will welcome an area classic back into town later this year, according to the Papa Joe’s Waterfront website. Owners Robert Lee, Charles Hertel, and Mica Perry are building out the new unit, which will replace the old establishment that closed in 2011. They expect to open in late 2023, according to the website.

Expect 25+ spaces of dockage, with eight boat lifts, and much more. They will be located at 79786 Overseas Hwy, Islamorada, FL 33036.
