Johnny’s Diner Taking Over Daybreak Diner Space on Curry Ford Road

American breakfast and lunch favorites return to Curry Ford Road with Johnny’s Diner’s newest location.

Johnny's Diner is preparing to open a new location at 3335 Curry Ford Rd, Orlando, FL 32806, this October, continuing a family tradition for three decades. Owner Paulie Krasniqi told Business Debut that they will be taking over the Daybreak Diner the recently closed. We noticed the news first on Bungalower.com.

The new space will seat over 100 guests and feature brand-new flooring, quartz countertops, and a redesigned layout that includes two counter-style bars, plus a fully updated kitchen and new air conditioning.

Once opened, they will operate seven days a week, from 6 am – 3 pm, mirroring the hours of its sister location on University Blvd. Food-wise, diners can expect a familiar menu that sticks to the roots of Johnny’s: American diner fare with homestyle charm. From eggs and bacon to burgers and sandwiches, the new location aims to provide a warm, reliable spot for both longtime fans and newcomers.

With personal memories of Daybreak Diner, Krasniqi plans to honor the space's past by hanging photos of Daybreak's patrons that he found in the building.

Johnny's Diner was established by Giovanni “Johnny” Krasniqi in 1995 and is known for its hearty breakfasts, classic lunch plates, and welcoming atmosphere. The family’s diner was previously located in the former University Shoppes. It operated until about two years ago, when the plaza was sold and demolished, and they were forced to relocate.

Since then, Giovanni and his sister, Linda Prekaj, branched out into separate locations, one on University Blvd and the other in Casselberry, while Krasniqi steps in to carry the legacy forward on Curry Ford Road. Marian and Martin Lucaj, his cousin and business partners, join him. “This place is more than just buying a restaurant,” Krasniqi said. “We grew up in that area. It has sentimental value as well.”
