Johnny Brusco’s Opening Soon in Pensacola

Johnny Brusco's Pizza is set to open its newest franchise location at 1491 W 9 Mile Rd, Suite 4 & 5, Pensacola, FL 32534, with a tentative opening date of November 17th. The opening could shift to November 24th, depending on readiness, and may be delayed to avoid launching during the Thanksgiving holiday, owner Stephen Long told Business Debut.

In addition to full-service dining and a bar with beer, wine, and liquor, the new restaurant will have a covered outdoor patio with 24 seats and a family-friendly ambiance with televisions for watching sports. With high tops and bar seating, the interior will accommodate about 125 guests over 3,010 square feet.

Johnny Brusco, which is well-known for its brick oven pizza made the New York way, will initially offer an à la carte menu. Long highlighted some of his personal favorites like the Johnny’s Deluxe (a classic supreme-style pizza), buffalo wrap, and the Mediterranean salad. Though not included on the initial menu, Long also praised the Hot Hawaiian pizza as a standout item from the broader franchise offerings. In addition to pizza, the menu will include subs, wings, lasagna, spaghetti, eggplant parmesan, fettuccine Alfredo, and a variety of salads.

The restaurant will be open seven days a week, with operating hours tentatively 11 am–9 pm Monday through Thursday, 11 am–11 pm on Friday through Saturday, and 11 am–9 pm.

Long, a longtime IT professional, is returning to his roots. “In my younger days, around the age of 20, I worked in a pizza place and was an assistant manager. I also do IT work. That's what I've done for the last thirty years. It’s kind of getting back into the pizza slash restaurant market,” he explained. This will be the first restaurant venture for Long and his wife, Katrina, though their son, Mason, has worked for the Johnny Brusco’s franchise for the past seven years and will help manage the location. Another son, Sydney, will also assist in day-to-day operations, making it a true family-run business. “It's kind of a fan family adventure,” Long said.
