Jazmin to Bring Pan Asian Flavors to Downtown Asheville

ASHEVILLE, NC – A new dining destination is set to bring flavors from across Asia to downtown Asheville. Jazmin, located at 22 College Street, Asheville, NC 28801, will showcase a wide variety of Pan-Asian dishes in a full-service setting. Owner Raj Singh told Business Debut that a soft opening is planned within the next couple of weeks, followed by a grand opening about a month later.

Jazmin will offer indoor and outdoor seating options. The indoor dining area can accommodate 42 guests, while the front patio will have 38 seats, and the back area will have 20 seats. The restaurant will include a full bar.

Food and Beverage Offerings

Guests can expect a menu specially crafted to showcase the tastes of Southeast Asia, featuring a variety of street foods and chef-driven dishes. Singh said that the concept is not really about food from one particular country; instead, it encompasses flavors from all over Asia, including traditional dishes from India, China, Thailand, Singapore, and various other parts of the continent.

Singh explained his inspiration, “In India alone, every 200 kilometers has a different kind of food. The variety of food is tremendous. We want to give people a whole medley of this food... Every country has its own specialties,” Singh said. “With Jazmin, we want to bring all the good dishes together: Malaysian, Cambodian, Chinese, Mongolian, Singaporean, and Sri Lankan. It's going to be a little bit of everything.”

Jazmin is Singh's third restaurant in Asheville. He also owns Laila Indian Cuisine, and Andaaz, which was closed following destruction by Hurricane Helene. Now, with Jazmin, he aims to deliver the best flavors from across Asia in one place.
