PALMETTO, FL - American Honey Creamery and Coffee Co. is preparing to reopen at a new location at 5015 Moccasin Wallow Rd, Palmetto, FL 34221, with owner Colleen Bianucci targeting an opening by the end of April. Bianucci told Business Debut the move will allow the business to expand seating and introduce a drive-thru to better serve customers on the go.

The relocation places the shop in a new strip center directly in front of the current location and will significantly increase space for guests while improving operational flow.

What to Expect

American Honey Creamery and Coffee Co. operates as a classic neighborhood ice cream and coffee shop where ice cream is made in-house daily. The dairy and many ingredients are sourced from local vendors, reflecting the company’s focus on supporting nearby small businesses.

“We are like your old-fashioned ice cream and coffee shop,” Bianucci told Business Debut. “We make all of the ice cream in the store itself, and we try to source as many of our ingredients as possible from local companies.”

The new store will include an L-shaped bar designed for customers working on laptops as well as three to four tables for additional seating. The layout nearly doubles the number of seats compared to the current location.

Orders are placed at the counter, though customers can also order through the store’s mobile app and pick up at the designated window. Most orders are prepared within about 10–15 minutes.

Coffee and ice cream remain the core of the concept. The most popular drink is the Cowboy Cookie Latte, a vanilla caramel latte with cookie butter and cinnamon. Bianucci’s personal favorite is the Dumb Blonde Latte, a pistachio praline drink inspired by the Dolly Parton song.

Many drinks and ice cream flavors across the menu are named after country music songs.

On the ice cream side, customer favorites include cookies and cream and the banana brûlée flavor, which blends banana, caramel, and toffee. The shop also offers milkshakes, sundaes, ice cream pies, and a layered dessert called a “stacker,” which sandwiches toppings between three scoops of ice cream.

Breakfast sandwiches are served until 12:30 p.m., including bagels with bacon, egg, and cheese or sausage, egg, and cheese. The Palmetto location also sells pastries and Amish-style donuts from Sarasota bakery Der Dutchman.

Bianucci said the broader vision is to create a community gathering spot.

“My goal is that both locations are kind of like the hometown spot for families to gather,” she told Business Debut.
