How Ya Doughn Expanding to Coral Springs
How Ya Dough'n creates scratch-made pizza using long-fermented dough and quality ingredients.
CORAL SPRINGS, FL — How Ya Dough’n is set to open at 3620 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33065, with a grand opening planned for the weekend of April 24, Garett Goodman told Business Debut. Goodman owns the concept alongside his wife Gabby Goodman and partner John Ferolito.
The Coral Springs restaurant marks the brand’s fifth overall location and its first Florida expansion outside of Palm Beach County.
Business Debut learned of this first from Coral Springs News.
What to Expect
The 1,400-square-foot space will feature approximately 35 indoor seats and about 15 outdoor seats, creating an intimate dining environment while still supporting strong takeout and delivery demand, Goodman told Business Debut.
Guests can expect a fast-casual pizza concept built for both dine-in and off-premise orders, with a focus on efficiency and consistency across locations. The Coral Springs store will also introduce updated design elements inspired by the brand’s Las Vegas location, helping unify the look and feel across all restaurants, Goodman said.
Menu and Vision
How Ya Dough’n is centered around sourdough pizza made without commercial yeast and fermented for seven to ten days, a process Goodman said is foundational to the brand’s identity.
“We don’t buy anything out of a bag,” Goodman told Business Debut. “We make all of our dressings, all of our sauces, all of our dough. We really put a tremendous emphasis on making sure that the products that we use… are best-in-class ingredients.”
Menu standouts include the OG pizza, which Goodman said is “one of our staples,” along with pepperoni, Caesar salads, and chicken wings. The pistachio pizza also stands out as a distinctive specialty on the menu, featuring a rich, nutty base with pistachio spread or pesto, balanced by creamy cheeses and a slightly sweet, savory profile that sets it apart from more traditional offerings.
Ownership and Growth
The concept began as a backyard pizza pop-up during COVID-19, where Goodman and his wife started by selling 25 pizzas per week before quickly scaling to as many as 250 pizzas weekly, often selling out within minutes.
“I said I really think we have something here,” Goodman told Business Debut. “We were selling hundreds and hundreds of pizzas a week out of our backyard and people kept coming back.”
Goodman eventually sold his equity in a previous business to fund the first brick-and-mortar location in Boca Raton, which was initially designed as a proof of concept and quickly proved successful.
The brand has since expanded to multiple Florida locations and a flagship on the Las Vegas Strip, with additional growth planned.
Opening Timeline
Friends and family events are scheduled for April 21–22, followed by a public grand opening weekend April 24–26.
Hours
The restaurant will be open seven days a week. Hours are planned for 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon–8 p.m. on Sundays, Goodman told Business Debut.
