Hot Spot Studio Bringing DIY Art to Sugar Hill This Fall
Georgia’s first Hot Spot Studio is opening soon in Sugar Hill with walk-in and party-friendly art fun.

The Hot Spot Studio is bringing its creative, hands-on art experience to Georgia for the first time with a new location coming to 4955 Alton Tucker Blvd NE, Ste 100, Sugar Hill, GA 30518. The experience-based art studio is expected to open in late September or early October, according to franchisee Jen Rabago, who spoke with Business Debut.
The studio will offer walk-in and reservation options for pottery painting, candle making, mosaics, canvas art, and more. It also features various interactive projects designed for both kids and adults, from slime kits to sip-and-paint-style events. The main draw is the paint-your-own pottery station, where guests can customize pre-made bisque pieces with underglaze. “It allows customers to customize something for themselves,” Rabago said.
The open-concept studio will also be available for private parties and events, with a dedicated room for groups. Customers can walk in during regular hours, reserve tables, or book parties. “We have events like parties and stuff if somebody wanted to do that as well,” Rabago noted. “Whatever fits your schedule or fits your need, we'll offer it.”
The Hot Spot Studio is a franchise with locations across Texas, California, and North Carolina, and Rabago’s Sugar Hill outpost will be the first in Georgia. This will be her first brick-and-mortar business, after previously working in laser engraving and interior décor. “What's really cool about our franchise is it kinda involves a lot of different crafts. I'm a crafty person, and I don't usually stick with one thing. And I think a lot of people will enjoy it,” she said.
