Hibachi Restaurant Opening in St. Petersburg, FL With an iPad Giveaway

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Hibachi Express is preparing to open a new fast-casual sushi and hibachi restaurant at 3605 49th St. North, St. Petersburg, FL 33710.

Owner Jason Huang told Business Debut the team is targeting a January 10 opening, pending final inspections. The restaurant will offer a streamlined menu focused on hibachi and sushi, with an emphasis on value pricing and quick service for dine-in or takeout.

What to Expect

Hibachi Express will operate as a fast-casual concept with counter service and seating for about 32 to 35 guests inside. The space includes eight tables and is designed for quick lunches and affordable dinners without full bar service.

The menu centers on hibachi and sushi, with additional rice and noodle options. Guests can also expect a small selection of appetizers.

Menu and Vision

Lunch specials will run daily from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., featuring hibachi chicken, steak or shrimp, or a two-roll sushi option, all served with a drink. Dinner offerings will include larger hibachi portions priced higher than lunch, along with a three-roll sushi dinner served with a drink.

Additional menu items include fried rice, Japanese rice, yakisoba noodles, udon noodles and appetizers such as spring rolls and tempura shrimp. Huang described the concept as approachable, affordable and designed for everyday dining, told Business Debut.

Grand Opening Promotion

To celebrate the opening, Hibachi Express will host a three-day grand opening giveaway. For the first three days of operation, the first 300 customers each day will receive a promotional envelope with prizes ranging from free food items to iPads. The promotion will include multiple iPad giveaways daily, along with menu items such as California rolls and hibachi chicken.
